There is also a platform which is kept to commemorate Sree Hanuman’s mighty leap to Lanka with granite at one end of the platform which is considered to be the sea. Devotees who visit the temple leap over this long stone and it is believed that this will bring good health and good life for their children.
The main offering to Sree Hanuman is wet avil and kadalai plantain.
There was a time when the temple was struggling to perform even daily poojas.
